Basic operation method of CNC machine, simple and practical
The CNC machine control panel is an important component of CNC machine tools, which is a tool for operators to interact with the CNC machine tool (system). It can be mainly divided into power control area, system control panel, and machine control panel.
1、 Power control area
1. System on: Turn on the system power.
2. System shutdown: Turn off the system power.
3. Program protection switch: Turn on/off the program input function.
4. Emergency stop knob: When danger or emergency situations occur during the machining process, the machine tool needs to be stopped urgently, or when the machine tool terminates machining and the power is cut off, use this button. (Note: The emergency stop knob should be pressed before powering on and off to reduce electrical shock to the device.)
2、 CNC system panel
The human-machine dialogue is mainly achieved in the process of program editing and debugging, input of tool parameters, real-time monitoring of the current machining status of the machine tool, and modification of machine maintenance parameters.
PESET reset: This key can be used to release the current state, reset the machining program, or emergency stop the machine tool.
PROC program key: In editing mode, operations such as editing, modifying, searching, and deleting can be performed.
OFS/SET tool offset key: Combined with other keys, it can set the workpiece coordinate system and perform tool tip radius and wear correction operations.
POS position key: displays the machine coordinates, absolute coordinates, incremental coordinate values, and specified wheelbase for each coordinate axis during program execution.
CSTM/GPPH graphic display button: Combined with relevant buttons, simulation machining and observation of tool running trajectory can be performed on the display, while the machine tool does not perform actual machining.
SYSTEM system key: used for self diagnosis related data and parameters of the CNC system.
MESSAGE information key: displays the warning status of the system.
HELP help button: functions such as instructions for mechanical equipment.
Shift conversion key: shared with address keys, it can switch between the characters of the keys.
Insert key: Insert characters or numbers at the specified position of the cursor.
INPUT input key: used for parameter or bias value input, input for starting I/O devices, and instruction data input in MDI mode.
ALTER replace key: Modify the address and data command of the cursor specified position in the program, or replace the original data with new data.
Delete key: Delete the character or number at the specified position of the cursor in the program (* The deleted statement cannot be restored, please carefully confirm whether to delete the content before operation.)
CAN cancel button: Delete characters written to the storage area.
EOB End Key: Used as an end command for editing each program segment.
Page turning key: a control key for switching between display screens.
Cursor movement key: controls the cursor to move up, down, left, and right on the display screen.
Mainly used for operating CNC lathes, including mode selection, spindle rotation selection and tool holder movement operation, spindle magnification and tool holder movement speed adjustment, etc.
Editing method: It can input and output programs, as well as modify or delete programs.
MDI method: Enter the program under PROG, start it in a loop, and directly execute the input program segment, which can input 10 instructions.
Automatic machining method: Use the program number to be executed in the PROG, and perform automatic machining on the workpiece after the loop is started.
Manual mode: Combined with the tool holder movement control key, the tool holder can be operated at fast and slow speeds.
Return reference method: Manually return the reference point position and establish the machine coordinate system.
Handwheel mode: The tool holder can be operated by hand pulse to make three micro movements along the X and Z directions: XIum, XI0um, and XI00um.
Introduction to commonly used function keys
Single segment execution: Press this button to run single ended in automatic processing mode or MDI mode.
Program skip: If the skip symbol "/" is used in the program, the program will run to the program segment marked by this symbol, skipping the execution of that segment. If the key is released, the skip function will be invalid.
Machine tool locked: After pressing this button, all actual actions of the machine tool are invalid (unable to manually or automatically control actual actions such as feed axis, spindle, cooling, etc.), but the instruction calculation is valid, so the program can be simulated and run in this state.
